Pequenos Rebentos Viagem ao Princípio do Mundo is a white wine made from the Alvarinho grape grown in vineyards in Melgaço. The wine is macerated and fermented on the skins for about 30 days, then aged on its lees for 18 months in Jerez barrels with a “flower veil.” It is bottle‑aged for an additional 18 months. The result is a wine with a strong, intense, complex and rustic character. Pequenos Rebentos Viagem ao Princípio do Mundo is always a special edition, released only in exceptional vintages.
