This Moscatel from the Tejo region is a truly delightful little serenade for the palate. The colour – vibrant like a sunrise orange – hints at aromas of orange blossom and tangerine, a signature of Fernão Pires. On the tongue, a refreshing acidity jumps to the fore, beautifully balanced by tropical notes and a subtle, smoked vanilla, offering a wonderfully unexpected twist. Wonderful with grilled fresh fish or a delicate fruit salad, I’d say.
