This Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Pierre Chanau isn’t shy – it’s a bold statement. The dominant Grenache grapes, undoubtedly shaped by the region’s characteristic limestone soils, deliver a wonderfully weighty yet remarkably refreshing experience. You can almost feel the Rhône Valley chuckling as it coats the palate. Seriously delicious with duck, but equally impressive with a good, dark pork dish.
