Description

Nothing could deter Jorge Serôdio Borges and Sandra Tavares da Silva from creating a wine one day, a wine born from their professional experience and their relationship. The talented couple then decided to establish the company Wine & Soul in 2001, at the same time acquiring 2.5 hectares of old vines, more than 70 years old and hosting dozens of varieties, which would give rise to their first wine, named Pintas. The choice of this name is linked to the fact that both would return home with countless juice stains on their T-shirts after a day of harvesting or in the cellar. Today, Pintas is one of the biggest stars in the Portuguese wine universe and a true symphony of old vineyards. The couple’s goal is to create wines that express the full character of the old vineyards and indigenous Douro varieties, seeking a balance between concentration, complexity, and elegance.
