After producing seven vintages as a winemaker at the Royal Old Company, Jorge Moreira felt the need to launch an individual project where he could apply his ideas and oversee every step of production. No compromises – a wine that would reflect his interpretation of the Douro. In 2001 he launched the Poeira project in Provesende, along a slope in the Vale do Pinhão, on the right bank of the river of the same name. (illustrative image only)
