This Poças Fora da Série Ânfora clearly had a rather eventful trip to the glass. Hand-selected grapes, coupled with barrel fermentation – and the all-important batonnage – hint at a wonderfully complex alcoholic and aromatic profile, deeply rooted in the Douro’s secrets. The Arinto and Códega grapes certainly add a vibrant freshness and ageing potential. It’s a fantastic match with freshly grilled seafood or a rich seafood rice dish.
