This wine truly feels like a transported experience – perhaps conjured from a trip between the Douro and Château Angélus. The hand-picked grapes, rooted in schist, impart a mysterious quality, releasing dark cherry and blackberry aromas alongside a touch of honey reminiscent of those Douro nights. Hubert de Boüard’s influence is clearly felt in the silky tannins and elegant expression on the palate. A wonderful pairing would be with roasted duck and figs – a delicious way to explore this remarkable connection.
