Everything began in 1918, when Manoel Domingues Poças Júnior, born amid the upheaval of Port wine, decided to start his own venture. At about 30, Manoel had some experience in the field and, together with his uncle, set up a company supplying brandy to major Port wine producers. Years later, he established the company’s headquarters in Vila Nova de Gaia, where it remains to this day. The whole Poças family embraced their passion for wine, blending respect for tradition with an openness to the innovations of newer generations. Today, with three estates in the finest locations of the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças exercises complete control over the quality of its wines. The year of bottling may not match the image shown.
