After working seven vintages as an oenologist at Real Companhia Velha, Jorge Moreira felt the need to start an individual project where he could apply his ideas and control the entire production process. With no concessions, a wine that would reflect his interpretation of the Douro. In 2001 he launched the Poeira project, situated in Provesende, along a slope in the Pinhão valley on the right bank of the river that shares its name. (illustrative image only)
