After seven vintages as a winemaker at the Royal Old Company, Jorge Moreira felt the need to launch a solo project where he could apply his ideas and control the entire production process. No compromises – a wine that reflects his interpretation of the Douro. In 2001 he started the Poeira project in Provesende, along a slope in the Pinhão valley on the right bank of the eponymous river. (Illustrative image only)
