The Adega de Ponte de Lima was founded in 1959 in Ponte de Lima, Portugal’s oldest town. With around 2,000 associated producers, it is one of the largest in the Vinho Verde region, and, together with its families and workers, forms the most important economic and social structure in the municipality. The wines of Adega de Ponte de Lima are the result of vinification of perfectly ripe grapes from regional varieties grown on the vineyards of its members, guaranteeing the authenticity and character of genuine Vinho Verde. In the white wines, Loureiro has a special expression due to its magnificent adaptation to the terroir of Ribeira Lima, producing a wine highly prized for its aroma and excellent organoleptic characteristics. In the red wines, the highlight is the Vinhão, which produces exceptional single‑varietal wines.
