Bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that reflects their age. We select brands and regions that, in general, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that, even while sealed in a bottle, is subject to evolving aromas over time. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years of being sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure you do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which an old wine tends to produce. (illustrative image)
