This Tannat is a seriously concentrated wine, boasting a deep, dark fruit colour – think ripe blackberries and plums. The nose is wonderfully layered, with intriguing spice notes mingling with a hint of dark chocolate and a subtle smoky character, very evocative of the Alentejo’s terroir. On the palate, the tannins are firm yet beautifully balanced, offering excellent structure and a truly satisfying finish. I’d recommend pairing this with grilled steaks or perhaps a succulent roast duck.
