This 20-year-old Tawny from Quinta da Boeira is a seriously indulgent experience – a deep, rich colour hinting at its considerable age. The aromatics are truly remarkable, bursting with plum compote, warming spices and that lovely lingering sweetness of nuts. A touch of orange blossom adds a delicate floral note, all underpinned by the wood that’s been present since the beginning. Absolutely superb with aged cheeses or, dare I say, a white truffle.
