By vinifying exclusively the grapes from his own estates—truly unique terroirs—the quality and distinctiveness of his wines are widely recognized, earning distinctions and references in the most respected national and international publications. A special highlight is the award of “Producer of the Year” in 1999 and again in 2006 by Revista de Vinhos, making him the first to receive Portugal’s most prestigious wine‑producer accolade twice.
