This Boas Quintas Encruzado and Arinto clearly had a spirited youth – that extended skin contact during fermentation undoubtedly layered in some welcome complexity, especially considering the meticulous two-month batonnage. The result is a crisp, seafood-driven white wine, practically begging for a platter of grilled shellfish and a generous portion of arroz de marisco.
