This Taifa Branco from Quinta da Fonte Souto, a bold venture by the Symington family nestled in the Alentejo, isn’t messing around. Grown on schist and granite soils, shielded by the Serra de São Mamede, it’s a serious statement. The grapes – carefully selected from the oldest parcels – deliver vibrant acidity and a beautiful profile of madelaine, sea buckthorn, and miru (marmelo). Maturation in French and Hungarian oak adds a delicate vanilla nuance and a hint of coastal air. A truly promising wine with remarkable ageing potential, ideally paired with a fresh, flaky fish.
