Description

Wine produced from grapes grown on the estate’s old vines and, after 30 months aging in new French and Hungarian oak barrels, presents a strong bouquet of dried plum, ginja, cocoa and chocolate. On the palate it offers round, firm tannins, balanced acidity and a harmonious finish. Quinta da Foz is located in the heart of the Douro wine region, in the Cima Corgo sub‑region, in the parish of Gouvães do Douro, Sabrosa, on the banks of the confluence of the Pinhão and Douro rivers. Currently the estate focuses on producing excellent table wines and resumed Port production in 2012, thanks to its old vines, grape quality and the rigorous, professional work of its enology team.
