This Touriga Nacional, playfully dubbed “French” by Quinta da Pacheca, clearly underwent a rather theatrical process. The grapes were crushed with impressive force, drawing out every last nuance of aroma and colour. The 18 months spent ageing in new French oak barrels certainly added a layer of sophistication, thanks to the malolactic fermentation. A wine promising an intense experience – ideally paired with a robust black pork roast, of course.
