The Quinta da Pedra Escrita, belonging to the Roboredo Madeira family for roughly eight generations, was restored in 2007. Its dry, arid soils make vine cultivation a challenge, but it is precisely this difficulty that produces aromatic wines of immense complexity, with traits that grant them long life. These wines also pay tribute to everyone who has shaped and inspired Rui Roboredo Madeira. In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta, Rui’s passion for the aromas and scents of the land that mould his character was born within his family. After years of experience and life in other corners of the globe, Rui brings back to his roots what he has learned, launching a personal winemaking project that always respects nature.
