Quinta da Pedra Escrita, part of the Roboredo Madeira family for about eight generations, was revived in 2007. Its dry, arid soils make vineyard cultivation a challenge, yet this very challenge gives rise to aromatic wines of remarkable complexity and longevity. These wines also pay tribute to all those who shaped and inspired Rui Roboredo Madeira. Born in the family, Rui’s passion for the aromas and scents of the land—characteristics that mould his spirit—emerged in one of the most remote zones of the Iberian Peninsula, in the Raiana area between the Upper Douro and the Beira Alta. After years of experience in other corners of the world, Rui brings back what he has learned, launching a personal wine‑making project that always respects nature to the maximum.
