Quinta da Pedra Escrita, belonging to the Roboredo Madeira family for roughly eight generations, was restored in 2007. Characterised by its dry, arid soils, vine cultivation is no easy task, yet it is this very challenge that gives the wines their aromatic richness and remarkable complexity, while also bestowing impressive longevity. These wines also pay tribute to all who shaped and inspired Rui Roboredo Madeira. In one of the most remote corners of the Iberian Peninsula—between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta—Rui’s passion for the aromas and scents of the land that shape his character was born within his family. After years of experience and living abroad, Rui brings back to his roots everything he has learned, launching a personal winemaking project that always respects nature to the fullest.
