Quinta da Pedra Escrita, belonging to the Roboredo family of Madeira for roughly eight generations, was restored in 2007. Its dry, arid soils make viticulture a challenge, but it is precisely this adversity that gives rise to aromatic, highly complex wines with exceptional longevity. These vintages also pay homage to everyone who shaped and inspired Rui Roboredo Madeira. In one of the most remote corners of the Iberian Peninsula—between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta—Rui's passion for the aromas and scents of the land that mould his character blossomed within his family. After years of experience and life in other parts of the world, he brings back what he learned to his roots, launching a personal wine‑making project always with maximum respect for nature.
