Description

A bold red from an ancient variety grown in the Beira Interior vineyards. Marufo is an old, maternal, enigmatic and challenging grape. With it we have produced wines of an open ruby hue, clean and bright, that preserve—even in new releases such as this— the delicate aromas and flavours characteristic of the grape and must. A fresh, smooth wine on the palate, with hints of unripe raspberry and blueberry and a light balsamic vegetal finish. An original and disconcerting wine (without pretense) that breaks pre‑established stereotypes. It tastes and smells like the grape, and tastes and smells like the wine.
