The bottles of old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. The National Cellar stores all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always opts to preserve the visual appearance that comes with age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism that, even within a bottle, is subject to evolving aromas over time. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held liable for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant before serving, do so patiently to detect any sediment that an old wine tends to develop. (illustrative image)
