This collection set contains: Quinta da Vacaria 10‑year‑old Port Quinta da Vacaria 20‑year‑old Port Quinta da Vacaria 30‑year‑old Port Quinta da Vacaria 40‑year‑old Port Quinta da Vacaria, one of the oldest estates in the region (the first record dates back to 1616), sits on the banks of the Douro River near the town of Régua, in the heart of the world’s oldest demarcated wine region. At the estate’s quay, Rabelo boats would dock to load barrels of Port and transport them to Gaia at the river’s mouth, where they were sold wholesale worldwide. The wooden barrels carried no producer’s mark, so the wine’s true identity was obscured until it was bottled and labeled with the name of the foreign merchant who bought it—some of whom went on to earn significant prestige.
