Born deep within the historic Quinta da Vacaria, this wine is a genuine journey through the Douro Valley. Crafted primarily from indigenous Castas – notably Touriga Nacional and Aragonez – it’s a wine steeped in history, echoing the days of the Rabelo boats ferrying wine down the river to Gaia, and subtly influenced by the notes of the foreign merchants who once documented its production. Remarkably resilient, it retains a certain gravitas, and would be superb alongside a hearty black pork roast.
