The Quinta da Vacaria Reserva Branco is an elegant white wine, displaying a lemon‑yellow hue and crafted from a blend of Arinto, Viosinho, and Rabigato grapes that bring freshness and complexity. On the nose, aromas of exotic fruits unfold, harmonized with notes of vanilla and wood that are very well integrated. On the palate it is full‑bodied, with lively acidity and a long finish. Quinta da Vacaria, one of the oldest estates in the region (the first record dates to 1616), is located on the banks of the Douro River beside the town of Régua, in the heart of the world's oldest demarcated wine region, the Douro. At the estate’s quay, Rabelo boats would dock to load their wooden barrels with Port wine and carry them to Gaia at the river mouth, where they were sold wholesale worldwide. Their hidden identity was preserved, as these wooden barrels were not even stamped with the producer’s seal. At their destination, the wine was bottled and labeled under the brand of the foreign merchants who purchased it, some of whom later gained considerable prestige. (illustrative image only)
