Quinta das Bágeiras The grapes used for Quinta das Bágeiras white bottle come from very old vines, over 75 years old. The wine is vinified from an open vat; the must is placed in small 1 m³ decanters where it remains for 24 to 36 hours to allow natural sedimentation. At the end of this process, the must is transferred to old wooden barrels of 2500 L, where hundreds of fermentations have already taken place. It is bottled without any filtering or fining (the clarification process that removes proteins) and not always in the same month, because we let the wine itself decide when it is ready for bottling.
