Description

Quinta das Queimas’ Vinha do Laranjal white comes from the oldest plot of the white‑varietal vineyard, planted in 1993 by a traditional master vintner. The varieties Encruzado, Malvasia, Gouveio, Bical and Cercial‑Branco were blended on the vineyard in proportions designed for the wine’s final balance. After six months in stainless steel and six months in Tremeaux barrels, it becomes an elegant, complex and harmonious white that authentically expresses the character of the vineyard. The estate that gives its name to the Quinta das Queimas project is one of the family’s most beautiful and oldest vineyards, situated on the southeastern bank of the Dinha River with a westward slope and partially walled by a very old fence. Its granite and sandy soil provides an exceptional combination for the vines planted in the late 1920s and, subsequently, for the wines produced there.
