This estate, nestled within the breathtaking amphitheatre of the Baixo Corgo sub-region of the Douro, crafts wines exclusively from its own vines, grown between 300 and 400 metres above sea level. The schistous, highly-rocky soils, combined with careful, hand-harvested grapes (using 20kg boxes) and a meticulous winemaking process – including 8 months in French oak with batonnage – result in a remarkably elegant wine. With a pH of 3.05 and a total dry extract of 26g/L, this wine is ideally paired with rich fish, intensely flavoured seafood, or a luxurious cured meat.
