This Tim Grande Reserva is certainly an intriguing puzzle. Wine Enthusiast’s assessment describes it as “delicate and subtle,” with a minerality that suggests quite a deliberate nurturing. The acidity is remarkably refreshing – almost a whisper from the Douro. Frankly, I suspect the producer may have employed a little alchemy, considering the considerable energy and complexity found in a wine solely crafted from Viosinho and Arinto. It would pair beautifully with freshly grilled fish, a squeeze of lemon to really cut through the freshness.
