Quinta de Lemos The Encruzado grape is exclusive to the Dão region, offering a highly balanced, aromatic profile that imparts great longevity to the wines. Malvasia adds aromatic exuberance and a smooth flow. The vines grow on slopes between 350 and 400 metres above sea level. The vineyard follows an integrated pest‑management programme, with herbicide use prohibited; pest control is achieved by soil mobilisation. Harvest is manual, taking place when the grapes reach optimal ripeness in the second half of September, and is conducted in small 10‑kg baskets.
