Description

The earliest known historical references to Quinta da Pellada date back to around 1570. It was in 1980 that civil engineer Álvaro de Castro, with a passion for wine, enthusiastically purchased the estate, reviving a family tradition of winemaking that had been dormant for two generations. He later acquired Quinta de Saes. These two vineyards, situated at the foot of Serra da Estrela, benefit from the protective Atlantic winds, producing aromatic and complex wines.
