This Quinta de São José Touriga Nacional has clearly enjoyed a lengthy chat with French oak – a full 12 months in 300-litre barrels, you see. The result is a gorgeous deep purple hue and intensely complex aromas initially bursting with fresh fruit and floral notes, underpinned by a subtle spice. On the palate, it absolutely delivers – luxurious tannins, a remarkable depth of flavour, and a finish that lingers delightfully. Seriously, it pairs beautifully with grilled beef.
