The Quinta de S. Sebastião project was born from its owner, António Parente’s desire to put the Arruda dos Vinhos region on the map, uniting its producers under a single initiative carried out under the umbrella of the Quinta de S. Sebastião brand. This is a region that suffers from a legacy of weak recognition for the wines produced here. The aim of this challenge is to bring together wines and producers in a structural project for the region, countering that perception by producing wines of unquestionable quality and moving to conquer a highly competitive market of brands and value propositions. It is said that beneath every estate in Arruda dos Vinhos lies a Roman villa. There are many testimonies of the Romans’ presence in these sites, reflecting their passion for the gods’ nectar, not only for the fertility these lands demonstrated but also for their geographic location, which made these lands one of the most important routes in the wine routes.
