This Ventozelo is a white wine that’s delightfully shaking things up in the Douro – it’s certainly not your typical offering. With a vibrant acidity and a surprising depth of complexity, it hints at a longevity that deserves attention, particularly alongside a perfectly roasted duck to really let the nuances shine. Hand-harvested between the end of August and the start of September, the grapes were carefully selected for their expressive character, then cooled before pneumatic pressing. The subtle influence of French and Hungarian oak barrels adds a lovely smoothness and a whisper of spice, elevating this wine to a truly refined level.
