This Arinto is a frankly astonishing shade of crimson – you could swear it’s plucked from a partridge’s feathers! It immediately calls for a blast of red berry compote, with a remarkable freshness reminiscent of green apple. The palate is surprisingly delicate, yet possesses a lovely persistence, hinting at the precision of the grape and the meticulous care of Quinta do Boição, a producer who awarded it a remarkable 95 points in Revista de Canais. Absolutely brilliant with a grilled white fish, or perhaps even roasted duck.
