In May 1983, the Caves Velhas – later to join the Enoport Wines Group – decided to acquire the Quinta do Boição, whose owners had always supplied them with their wine. The estate is located in Bucelas, beside the Ribeira do Boição, within the renowned Demarcated Region of Bucelas, between the banks of the Ribeira do Boição and the Rio Trancão. It covers a total area of 45 hectares, of which 32.5 hectares are dedicated to vineyards. (Illustrative image only)
