Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, founded in 1922 under the name João Pires & Filhos, has undergone a long journey, establishing itself as one of the most innovative wine producers in Portugal. The company's activity began with the production of wines from grapes in the Palmela region. Throughout the 1980s, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal began its expansion, acquiring properties across the country, creating new paradigms for the production of quality wines. It is at Quinta do Carmo that the winemaking centre for all of its Alentejo wines is located. Equipped with modern technology, this cellar has the capacity to produce 3 million litres.
