The Quinta do Carvalhinho is a lovely wine estate situated in the village of Ventosa do Bairro, in the municipality of Mealhada. An inscription on the front of the house’s private chapel dates back to 1698, offering a valuable glimpse into the estate’s origins. Acquired by Serafim Navega in 1890, the Quinta has remained in the same family ever since. (illustrative image only)
