The Quinta do Côa is one of the Roboredo Madeira family estates, located in the Upper Douro, between the village of Almendra and the right bank of the Côa River. The estate covers about 80 hectares of hilly terrain, exposed to the east and south, with elevations ranging from 130 to 300 metres. The vineyards are cultivated using organic methods, strictly from native varieties of the region, alongside olive and almond trees. Nestled in a micro‑climate of high temperatures and low rainfall, the wines of Quinta do Côa stand out for their aromatic purity. In one of the most remote zones of the Iberian Peninsula, in the Raia area between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta, Rui Roboredo Madeira developed a family passion for the aromas and scents of the land that shape his character. After years of experience and time spent in other corners of the world, Rui brings back to his roots everything he has learned, launching a personal wine‑making project that always respects nature to the fullest.
