Quinta do Convento O Quinta do Convento Branco 1999 is a 20‑year‑old wine that is very robust, full of personality and complexity for a wine of this age. 2000 bottles of a unique, complex white. A relic, later discovered to have come from the 1999 vintage, specifically from the old vines in front of the convent. We found this white in perfect conservation conditions, in a room within the full catacombs of the convent, cool, dark, and humid, where in the past they used to fill barrels and store port wine. Grapes were hand‑picked into 18‑kg boxes, completely destoned and lightly crushed, followed by cold static decantation. Fermentation took place in temperature‑controlled stainless‑steel tanks.
