Quinta do Crasto From its very first vintage in 1998, the Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa wine has earned the status of one of Portugal’s great wines, receiving the highest accolades from national and international press over the past years. Hailing solely from the Vinha Maria Teresa, a centenary vine that gives the wine its name and one of the oldest in Quinta do Crasto, grown on extremely low trellises with excellent sun exposure, this single-vine wine is a Douro DOC super‑premium red that is bottled only in exceptional years and always in very limited quantities. Despite the low yields of an old vine, the Quinta do Crasto enology team extracts extraordinarily high levels of concentration from its grapes, producing a world‑class wine that is complex, full of character, and guaranteed to evolve beautifully in the bottle for many years. The Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa was produced only in the vintages 1998, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013, with the maximum number of bottles produced being 8,001 in 2007. For many connoisseurs, this wine is one of the great wines of the Douro and one of its most emblematic, and the opportunity to taste one of its vintages is considered a true privilege.
