The Quinta do Estanho was part of the first wine demarcation, “De Feitoria”, in 1757. It is situated on the left bank of the Rio Pinhão at an average altitude of 300 metres. The estate has been producing quality wines for several generations. In 1987, its owner, Jaime Acácio Queiroz Cardoso, became the second producer‑bottler‑exporter in the entire Douro, selling his wines directly to the national and international markets.
