The Quinta do Gradil Bruto Natural is a sparkling wine produced by the traditional method from two grapes that perfectly complement each other: Arinto and Chardonnay. After 18 months of aging on the lees, in tasting, this sparkling wine reveals an excellent silkiness and complexity of aromas, paired with the acidity and freshness typical of the grapes that give it life. As a Bruto Natural sparkling wine, its sweetness level is less than 3 grams per litre (g/L). The Quinta do Gradil has been referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that the vineyard and the wine became part of the estate’s economic activity. It was in the 19th century that a decisive moment occurred, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited the Quinta do Gradil from her father, transforming it into a reference agricultural business, focusing on wine production. Many years have passed and Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese reference worldwide, now led by Luís Vieira.
