This Viosinho from Quinta do Gradil is a delightfully unexpected little rebel. Grown in the Lisbon region, it showcases a vibrant acidity alongside delicate white fruit – think ripe apple and pear, very much in keeping with the region’s traditional varieties. There’s a subtle mineral note, a gift from the chalky soils, adding a refreshing lift. Seriously, it’s superb with grilled white fish or a summer gazpacho – a truly elegant wine, worthy of a perfectly executed Bacalhau à Brás.
