The wines of Quinta do Infantado are produced, aged and bottled on the estate, located on the northern bank of the Douro, near Pinhão, in the Gontelho sub‑region—an area long celebrated for the quality of its vineyards. In the late 19th century the property was acquired by João Lopes Roseira, ancestor of the present managers. Since then the Roseira family has steadily expanded the vineyards and focused on producing and aging Fine Wines. In 1979 the first Quinta Port Wines were sold, reviving an ancient tradition lost for over five decades. The estate spans roughly 23 hectares of vines, graded with the highest classification in the Douro Demarcated Region, a distinction that inspired the refinement of traditional pressing techniques and the creation of natural Port Wines of the utmost quality.
