Quinta Do Infantado Branco Porto Porto

Description

The wines of Quinta do Infantado are produced, aged, and bottled on the estate itself, located on the north bank of the Douro, near Pinhão, in the Gontelho sub‑region—a place long renowned for the excellence of its vineyards. In the late nineteenth century the estate was acquired by João Lopes Roseira, an ancestor of the present owners. Since taking ownership, the Roseira family has progressively expanded the vineyard area and specialised in the production and maturation of Fine Wines. In 1979 the first Port wines from the estate were released, reviving a very old tradition that had been lost for more than fifty years. The estate covers roughly 23 hectares of vines, graded with the highest classification available in the Demarcated Region of the Douro (Classe A), a fact that inspires the family to refine traditional winemaking techniques in the press and, making the most of the excellent grapes grown there, to produce natural, high‑quality Port wines.
