Quinta Do Infantado Character Vintage Meio Seco Porto Porto

Description

The wines of Quinta do Infantado are produced, aged, and bottled on the estate itself, which sits on the north bank of the Douro, near Pinhão, in the Gontelho sub‑region—an area long renowned for the excellence of its vineyards. In the late 19th century, the property was acquired by João Lopes Roseira, a forebear of the current owners. Since then, the Roseira family has steadily expanded the vineyard area and specialized in the production and maturation of Fine Wines. In 1979 the estate began selling its first Quinta Port wines, reviving an ancient tradition that had been dormant for more than 50 years. Quinta do Infantado covers roughly 23 hectares of vines that hold the highest classification in the Demarcated Region of the Douro (Class A). This distinction inspires the family to refine traditional vinification techniques at the press, and to make the most of the superb grapes grown on the estate, producing natural Port wines of the highest quality.
